FAQ

I have a pool. Do I need pool service?
Every pool needs regular maintenance to keep it safe, healthy, enjoyable and economical. Our Poolsyders are professional pool technicians with decades of combined experience in taking care of pools like yours. We like to think of ourselves as your pool angels. We'll put in the work, giving you more time to enjoy your pool, and less time scrubbing!
-
How does pool service work?
It's simple. You pay a small, fixed fee every month, and we'll visit your yard every week or so (depending on the size and use of your pool), on a fixed day. It means you never have to worry about complex chemical equations, scrubbing your pool or cleaning your filter. We do all the work, so you don't have to.
-
Do I need to be home when my Poolsyder technician visits?
Nope. All we need is access to your pool, for example via a screen door or gate. Our comprehensive insurance covers you and our Poolsyders. Of course, if you'd like to be present when we visit, that's cool, too. If you live in a gated community, you may need to register Poolsyde with your neighborhood's guards.
-
Do I need to have an electrical outlet and/or water faucet near my pool?
All of our equipment is battery powered, so we don't need access to a power supply. The Florida heat does often cause evaporation which means your pool water may need to be topped up every week or two. For this we'll need access to your water supply and hose pipe. Depending on your water pressure, we may need to leave before your top-up is complete. If this is the case we'll connect a timer switch to your hose pipe so the water supply shuts off automatically. If you have a timer switch already, that's great! If not, we'll leave one of our spares with you and grab it back the next week.
-
Can I have service more or less regularly than every week?
Of course! For most residential pools, weekly service is about right. For pools that aren't used very regularly, sometimes every two weeks is sufficient. For pools that are used a lot, especially by kiddos or vacation renters, or for very large pools, we may need to visit more regularly. We'll discuss this with you before we start your service.
-
How do I get started?
We need to know a few things about your pool first, such as roughly how big it is, whether its a chlorine, bromine or salt pool, and the kind of filter it uses (e.g. cartridge or sand). We'll also ask you some questions about how you usually use your pool, and ask you to take a few photos. We can usually quote you based on your responses to our form alone, but if you have very unique features in your pool we may need to drop in for a quick, no-fee courtesy call. Please also see our terms of service.
